The Prague Castle Spirits project brings together Czech tradition, craftsmanship and the official representation of the Czech Republic. Created by RUDOLF JELÍNEK in cooperation with the Prague Castle Administration, this unique project gives fruit from the Prague Castle gardens a lasting story through the art of distillation.

When we renewed our cooperation with the Prague Castle Administration last year, we had a clear vision: apricots and plums grown in such an exceptional place deserve to be transformed into something truly memorable. Distillation is a way to preserve their character, origin and story for years to come.

Every kilogram of apricots and plums from the Prague Castle gardens is processed in Vizovice with the utmost care and separately from all other production batches. Although this is a small-scale order of only a few hundred kilograms of fruit, it gives us the opportunity to demonstrate the precision, experience and attention to detail that define RUDOLF JELÍNEK fruit brandies.

This year, we produced 50 litres of apricot brandy and more than 30 litres of slivovitz. Both spirits were bottled in special limited-edition bottles featuring a label inspired by the silhouette of Hradčany. These bottles will serve as representative gifts from the Office of the President of the Czech Republic.

At the end of November, President Petr Pavel and the First Lady personally received the first bottles at our Prague Slivovitz Museum in Malá Strana. Their visit also included a tour of the exhibition, which impressed them both — especially the virtual reality experience, where visitors can “become a plum” and experience the story of slivovitz in an original way.

At RUDOLF JELÍNEK, we believe that the Prague Castle Spirits project can become a beautiful tradition. It connects Czech fruit-growing, traditional distillation and the representation of the Czech Republic at home and abroad. We are already looking forward to the next harvest and to continuing this unique story.
